Our story begins in 1991 with the launch of the ANAT group of fast food restaurants in Johannesburg.

Fuelled by a passion for authentic Shwarmas and Wraps, the ANAT restaurant chain rapidly gained a reputation for quality Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine. The ubiquitous ANAT ellipse was soon an instantly recognizable part of the South African food landscape, as ANAT outlets began opening in major cities around the country.

The company that had begun as a modest dream in the early nineties had become a household name by 2002 and it was time to expand.

Enter Anat's Bakery.

Launched initially as a small pita bread bakery with the sole purpose of supplying the ANAT fast food franchise group, we have since expanded both our innovative range of products and our national footprint. We now supply a diverse range of speciality food products to supermarkets, restaurants, fast food franchises, coffee shops, schools and other food service clients around the country.
